Hospitality
Lighting Design
Experience is everything when designing hotels, bars, or restaurants. Lighting plays a crucial role in this process: it shapes how a space is experienced from the moment a guest arrives, influencing atmosphere, behaviour, and overall experience. At Rare Studio, we design lighting that aligns aesthetics with function.

Guest Behaviour
Light shapes behaviour, sometimes without a guest ever noticing. A simple example: warm, dimmed light invites people to stay longer; bright, cool light speeds up turnover. For hospitality that values atmosphere, the goal is almost always the first option: creating a space guests don't want to leave. We design with that behaviour as our deliberate starting point.

Function & Feeling
Great hospitality lighting does two things at once: a guest should be able to see clearly - their plate, the menu - while feeling like they've arrived somewhere special. Function without emotion feels cold; emotion without function doesn't work. We design at the intersection of the two, exactly where hospitality thrives.

Architecture & Materials
A beautifully curved ceiling, a natural stone bar, texture in a wall: without the right layers of light, these details stay invisible. Through a layered approach of ambient, focal, and sparkle lighting, we bring architecture and materials to life, so a space tells exactly the story it's meant to.
